Does the price include installation?Yes and G.S.T However the advertised prices are subject to change due to onsite evaluation.
Can I have a pet doors in my new security door?
Yes. Our pet doors are made to order just like our doors. So we can create the perfect sized door for both you and your pet!
Do you provide a free measure and quote?
Yes, we will happily send one of our representatives to your home to discuss your exact requirements at no charge and under no obligation.
Do you provide a warranty?
Yes. All of our installed products include a 12 month parts and labour warranty.
How long does it take for someone to come out & do a measure and quote?
A couple of days up to a week., depending on the season.
How long do I have to wait for installation?
Our lead time varies depending on the season. However our minimum lead time is 2-3 weeks. Custom PowderCoated orders take an extra 5 working days.
Do you have automatic closer's for sliding doors?
Yes. We use a auto closer which can be adjusted to a faster or slower speed to suit your needs. Required for pool standards.
Can I refurbish my existing door instead of getting a whole new one?
Yes. We can send a rep out to re-mesh, install new locks & handles (including triple locks) closer's, change Colour (re-powder coat) etc.
I would like my windows secure, but how would my family & I escape if there is a fire?
Secureview Fire Escape grille is the perfect solution for both security and safety as you can quickly and easily open the window from inside your home.
Are colonial castings doors secure?
No. They are only a safety door. The colonial grilles are manufactured from cast aluminium which is quite porous and as such brittle. An extruded grille is much stronger. However they provide an attractive alternative to standard fly screen doors.
Do I need a triple lock for my sliding door?
It's not necessary because we install security tracking with our sliders and the door slides into a receiving channel so the door can not be pulled away from its frame (this is the function of a triple lock in a hinged door).
How does a triple lock work?
There are locks at the top middle & bottom of your door which prevents people from pulling it out of the jamb. It operates in exactly the same way as a single lock, so you don't need to do anything extra when locking your door.
Are sliding doors as secure as hinged doors. Can they be lifted out?
Our sliding doors are very secure. We install 4 adjustable wheels and security tracking to our doors which prevents anyone trying to remove the door once it is closed, by locking it in position.
Can we get our security doors keyed alike to our existing doors?
Yes. Our installer is a qualified locksmith. If you order more than one door, they will be automatically keyed alike.
Are there any other styles of handles?
For hinged doors there is a brass handle and chrome.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we take a 50% deposit to action your order.
How do I order?
We require a written confirmation to proceed with your order and 50% deposit.. You can simply sign your quote and fax or post it to us or alternatively, send an email confirmation. If there are any changes you'd like to make e.g. colour, design etc. please note these and we will process your order.
When do you require final payment?
Once your ordered has been completely installed.
How should I pay?
Cash, Cheque, Visa, M/C, Amex, Eftpos, Direct Deposit and Money Order. Unfortunately we do not accept Diners card.
Do your doors meet Australian Standards?
All Jim's doors, Secureview doors meet and in some cases exceed the Australian Standard. Diamond grille doors are available manufactured to Australian Standards by request.
Do you manufacture all of you doors?
Yes. We make to measure to suit your needs.
Do you make screens to match the security doors?
Security screens are available in the 007, 006 and 009 designs as well as the high security SupaScreen.
Will you remove our existing doors?
We are happy to remove and dispose of your old doors, however by default we will leave them on site (to avoid inadvertently removing someone's property). Please let us know if you would like us to dispose of your doors
How do I know when my order is complete?
Once we have manufactured your order, our installer will call you to arrange an installation day and time directly with you.
I'm a busy person. Do I have to be home when my doors are measured or installed?
Depending on what location they are in. If they are internal doors, we will need access. We try to be flexible
What if the colour I want isn't a standard colour?
We can have your order powder coated to a larger range of colours. It is an extra cost between $44.00 - $83.00.. Note: We can not powder coat handles, closer's & hinges. They will be a standard Black.
Can I get a pet proof mesh (insect screen) on my door?
Due to the extensive range of breeds, weights & natures of pets, all meshes (Except Secureview) cannot be guaranteed to prevent damage caused by your pet. Some meshes may be effective, but it is a matter of trial & error. All mesh (Except Secureview) can be cut and/or damaged & Do Not provide extra security.
